These are what grocery stores and other types of establishments typically buy. The drawback to these types of security cameras is that, if something were to happen, you'd have to rewind through all that tape in order to find the part where the lawlessness occurred.

If you want the security camera to remain inconspicuous, there are many to choose from that are so small you'd never even notice them unless you knew where to look. However, if you're trying to deter others by making it obvious that you have a security camera, you may want to get a bigger one.

There are other types of security cameras, however, that only come on when movement is detected. These are perfect for a store after hours, or for your home when you're not currently there. Pets may set these off, too, but at least you'll have less tape to go through in case something happens.
