Tips for a Successful WSOP

The WSOP may seem like an unattainable goal at this point in your poker career, but with hard work and patience this is something that all poker players can achieve. A great place for the average poker player to start to work on their game would be in the study of other opponents at the table. We all should have our goal set at always being the top poker player at any given table. One way to do this is to study all players at the table and try to learn how they react to all of the different options they have in each hand played.

Keep a watchful eye on all of the players around you. Study them and always be on the lookout for anything that could tip off what they might be thinking and what could possibly be their next move. After enough study and keeping a close enough eye on the people seated at the table with you it will almost be come instinct to judge what other players are doing or planning to do.

Don't be afraid to call down a losing hand once in awhile as this can be a very valuable tool for you to learn what your opponent is thinking and how they play certain hands. While this should never be made a practice that is used all the time it is also something that if you want to be a great player that you can just ignore.

Playing poker should be looked at like a war. You are not here to have fun, you are here to make money. You do not want to bring attention to yourself in anyway. Try to be in total stealth mode and stay under everyones radar. You want to stay low key and be in constant attack mode.

When you are playing poker live be on the lookout for players who do nothing but check and call. When you run into these players go against them hard. Attack them and be very aggressive when you are in a pot with them. It is not necessary to have a premium hand. In this case you are playing against the other player more then you are playing the cards in your hand. Do not give this type of player any room to breathe attack him hard even with marginal hands.

By incorporating these tips into your game it should help you to become a more successful poker player. Be patient, study your opponents, and be ready to attack if the situation calls for it. To get to the WSOP one needs to study and become a true student of the game. With some hard work I know that you can get there.
